Art of the Arcade

About time someone did this.

"Welcome to Art of the Arcade, a site dedicated to showcasing the lost graphic design and illustration work from the golden era of video gaming. Here at Art of the Arcade, we try to show the work in a new light, and remove it from its usual surroundings to help show what some may consider a very insignificant part of a classic video game. We feel its important to showcase this amazing work and give exposure to the forgotten graphic designers and illustrators that helped shape a billion dollar industry."

Nike+ City Runs

Very cool idea from Nike and YesYesNo.

"For Nike+ City Runs, YesYesNo developed an installation for Nike retail stores which visualized a year's worth of runs from the Nike+ website. We developed custom software that played back runs throughout three cities: New York, London and Tokyo. The runs showed tens of thousands of peoples' runs animating the city and bringing it to life. The software visualizes and follows individual runs, as well as showing the collective energy of all the runners, defining the city by the constantly changing paths of the people running in it."
