Chapter 14 of the Internet

This week has been quite in terms of internet goodness, but fear not - I've found a handful of things to keep you occupied on the toilet/over breakfast/on the sofa/on the train/anywhere else.

The first good news is that LEGO will be making a Dr Who set. The Tardis! In LEGO! Life just keeps getting better....

Dr Who leads nicely on to space, and where would this weekly post be without space? Here are some rockets (click for a bigger one).

Just to continue the space theme a bit, here is a chart that covers all the temperatures in the universe, from absolute zero, to 'absolute hot'.

Turns out the Nazi party were sticklers for identity - to the extent of having a 700 page brand manual. Can't say I'm too surprised, but still...700 pages! If you're into that sort of thing, you can read it all here

Just in case you're in doubt, here's a handy chart to help you decide if you should vaccinate your child or not. You know, just in case.

This beauty was number one on the day I was born. Get yours here

This is the best thing to come out of the Super Bowl. 36 hours after half-time, UK-based animation studio A+C Studios, recreated the best adverts as a stop motion animated film. Impressive stuff.

OK, that's it. Go and be productive!

Internet Numero 13

This week's biggest event was projectile vomiting. It's hard to believe a baby can hold so much in its tiny body until you witness, first hand, semi-digested milk gracefully arch over a shoulder and on to the floor. You can't even be angry. It's just so impressive.

Speaking of impressive, can you believe you can actually buy Marmite and Pot Noodle flavoured Easter eggs? Actually, that's more disgusting, but in an impressive way. Anyway, on to this week's handpicked internet fun, none of which will really make a difference, but that's the internet for you. You can start by learning how to tie knots. I had to tie one recently (a double Fisherman's Knot - not featured here), and had to use a YouTube video to do it. Anyway, here you go.

Extra info: a knot in Danish is 'knob'. I might be 36, but I still giggle when I see it. In fact, a friend posted a picture of a Danish book he found called '25 Knobs'. That was funny.

Feel left out of the hipster crowd? Well here you can create your own hipster logo, because who doesn't want one?

I love these musicless music videos, and Fight for your Right was begging for it.

This week marked the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I can highly recommend the C4 documentary, Night Will Fall, "The extraordinary story of the Allied forces who filmed the terrible scenes in the Nazi concentration camps, and Sidney Bernstein's attempt to produce a landmark documentary record of what they found." It feature never seen before footage from the Soviet and British troops as they found not only Auschwitz, but other camps too. It's absolutely awful, and should be seen by everyone.

You should also check out this drone footage from the BBC. I've aways wanted to go to Auschwitz, and in fact was meant to go but then this whole baby thing came along so the trip is delayed. I will go. Maybe next year.

On a much lighter note, here's a periodic table of beer (click for a bigger image).

Last, but not least, make your own monster thanks to Ed Harrington.

Oh wait, I forgot something about space. Here you go!

OK, there is one more thing... Stephen Fry on God. Marvellous.

Have a smashing weekend.

Internet. Verse 12

Hello and welcome to another week of stuff.

How come nobody has ever told me that for weeks and weeks and weeks babies sound like they're trying to force their guts through their bellybuttons? The noise this baby produces is terrifying. I've never heard anyone or anything strain so much. I keep thinking something's going to pop.

Anyway. Here's a space GIF because space is amazing.

If that didn't blow your tiny little mind, maybe old people playing GTA will. At least I hope it entertains you for 10 minutes.

Do you have a lot of money and like VW vans and stuff? Then this stretch Volkswagen bus from 1965 is for you.

Now you too can have an invisible boyfriend, complete with a story of how you met, and social proof (because if it ain't social, it ain't real). This would have come in handy when I was trying to explain the lack of boyfriend for all those years...

Oh, look, more space.

Sort of on the same theme (space...God...you know), here's fuckity-fucker, I mean, Richard Dawkins, reading some of the lovely letters he received.

Find the Golden Hour anywhere you are. What's the Golden Hour? "The Golden Hour (sometimes referred to as the Magic Hour) is often defined as the first and last hour of sunlight in the day when the special quality of light yields particularly beautiful photographs."

That's it! Go have fun.
