Ordnance Survey and Minecraft

Who'd have thunk it? Ordnance Survey, the lot who map Great Britain, are true geeks. Actually, I suppose it's not that hard to believe.

They've mapped GB  in Minecraft. You can download it here

It took two weeks to complete, and was built by an intern, Joseph Braybook, a third-year physics student from the University of Bristol.

"When Joseph joined the team as part of Ordnance Survey's summer internship programme, we discovered he was an avid Minecraft fan," said OS Innovation Lab manager Graham Dunlop. "We decided to build a Minecraft world using free-to-use OS OpenData products to display the landscape and terrain of Great Britain."

140

140 is a game developed by Jeppe Carlsen that looks far too complicated for me to play. The landscape and your avatar changes shape to the beat of music which basically means you no have idea what's going on.

"The challenge lies in syncing up your moves and jumps to the music-controlled elements. The soundtrack evolves in each level as you progress, introducing new elements for you to tackle, and ultimately leads to intense rhythm-based boss fights."
