LEGO does Halloween
And does it well.
We're yet to know just how bad the situation in Nepal is, but safe to say it's far worse than we think it is. With focus seemingly solely on Katmandu, you can't help but wonder how things must be outside of the capital. It's just awful. We can but hold our breath for more moments like this 4 month-old baby being found alive, 22 hours after the building he was in collapsed (or this 15 year-old boy being found 5 days after). Donate here.
So this is the last week of internet before I, together with wife and our almost 5 month-old boy, head off to Thailand for two months. It's been a very busy week, with unexpected news (of the good kind), and very little time to prepare. It's a bank holiday here tomorrow - thankfully - so I'll be rushing around trying to pack and clean the flat before heading off on Saturday. We've got people staying in our flat for the entire time, which is comforting. I just hope they water my bay leaf tree which has finally started growing.
Anywho, look at this stadium being turned from a basketball court to an ice-hockey rink. It's pretty neat, as they say over there.
If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I like beer. IPAs in particular. Here's a handy beer chart to address all your beer questions (get a HUGE version here).
Yes, that's the joke is a great tumblr unwittingly made up by people who don't get the joke.
You might have heard all the furore surrounding Protein World's 'beach body ready' poster. Carslberg are rather good at newsjacking, and really nailed it this time.
LEGO fan? Good. You'll like this then.
I love old stuff. Like my dad (hello, dad). If you like old stuff, old film about London in particular, you'll like this.
Here's a nice thing to end on. Sorry things are a bit rushed this week, but times are busy. If you're vaguely interested in our travels, head to Jaw to keep an eye on how we're managing. Adios!
This week has been quite in terms of internet goodness, but fear not - I've found a handful of things to keep you occupied on the toilet/over breakfast/on the sofa/on the train/anywhere else.
The first good news is that LEGO will be making a Dr Who set. The Tardis! In LEGO! Life just keeps getting better....
Dr Who leads nicely on to space, and where would this weekly post be without space? Here are some rockets (click for a bigger one).
Just to continue the space theme a bit, here is a chart that covers all the temperatures in the universe, from absolute zero, to 'absolute hot'.
Turns out the Nazi party were sticklers for identity - to the extent of having a 700 page brand manual. Can't say I'm too surprised, but still...700 pages! If you're into that sort of thing, you can read it all here.
Just in case you're in doubt, here's a handy chart to help you decide if you should vaccinate your child or not. You know, just in case.
This beauty was number one on the day I was born. Get yours here.
This is the best thing to come out of the Super Bowl. 36 hours after half-time, UK-based animation studio A+C Studios, recreated the best adverts as a stop motion animated film. Impressive stuff.
OK, that's it. Go and be productive!
