I moved out of Brixton/Clapham North in about 2002, when a two bedroom flat, infested with mice and cockroaches (not to mention the drug den opposite us and the shootings on our doorstep) was £800. Not sure I'd cough up over a grand for that, but there was excellent jerk chicken nearby.

Mapmaker Max Roberts has taken underground/metro/subway maps from around the world and given them a good redesign. Like Harry Beck's famous London Tube map, they don't follow the land, but are arranged in a way to make them easy and quick to understand. Rather good, if you ask me.
I've never visited Copenhagen Metro's website before, but I did yesterday and was so impressed. It's so simple. Granted, it has all of two lines so it's not as if London Underground should go the same way, but they (whoever made it?) really got it right. Navigate left or right and that's it. Lovely.
