A project born by accident, The Underwater Project by Mark Tipple is a series of photos showing the quiet, powerful (and pretty scary) beauty of what goes on beneath the waves.
Some of his shots were cleverly used in a campaign for Maramar Diving School.

Beautiful campaign for a Brazilian diving school. Not only are the shots beautiful, I love how they capture people, with no equipment, and the waves about and around them. It's a really, really nice departure from fish, coral and shit.
Update: Over a year later and I just found out - thanks to the excellent The Fox is Black - that the photos are by Mark Tipple. Check the link for lots more.
